Now that spring is here it's time to start thinking about a dust control plan for your unpaved rural roads, quarry roads and parking lots. As you know dust can be a safety hazard as well as a nuisance for rural residents. Roads left untreated are also more expensive to maintain because a dusty road is a deteriorating road. Once the fine material is lost (blown away), the load bearing aggregate will soon follow. The result will be ruts, potholes and washboards that require costly spot repairs and frequent blading to keep the roads in acceptable condition.
